About the school

At Abundant Life Christian Academy, young children learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment where teachers and staff offer opportunities that spark curiosity and wonder, encourage independence, and foster positive social interactions with peers. Teachers at Abundant Life Christian Academy work to establish a classroom community that fosters the development of early learning and literacy skills alongside social-emotional growth. Abundant Life Christian Academy has met the qualifications to become a licensed childcare provider in the state of Florida. To earn this certification, staff and teachers must have routines in place to provide a safe and nurturing environment, offer developmentally-appropriate play, and support student learning. Abundant Life Christian Academy is a larger early childhood center, serving a broad and diverse set of Margate families. Larger centers and schools are often able to provide a wider range of learning opportunities for students as well as offer additional health and safety measures, program options, facilities, technology, and security features.

Educational philosophy and administration

Abundant Life Christian Academy follows a specialized Christian curriculum. Lesson plans include the Bible, literacy development, number concepts and reading readiness. When teaching children to make decisions, they hope students will consider these six values: biblical truth, diversity, excellence, integrity, unity and community. A former preschool student praises the program, saying “the teachers prepared me well for kindergarten.” Director Sarah Perez leads the preschool staff at Abundant Life Christian Academy. Parents describe the academy as a “really good school” with “great teachers.” Some parents call the teachers are “super loving” and say they help students “through every step” of their education.
