About the school

Little Scholars Preschool (LSP) offers full-time and part-time programs for children age three months through five years, including VPK. The school is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm, with after-care. LSP also offers summer camps. Formerly known as Precious Moments, this Pompano Beach school came under new ownership in 2019 and underwent renovation, facility upgrades and a rebrand to Little Scholars Preschool. The new owner, Chanille Vargas, is committed to providing “a clean, fun learning environment.”

Educational philosophy and administration

Little Scholars Preschool implements The Creative Curriculum, which the program’s publisher describes as a “comprehensive, research-based curriculum that promotes exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills.” LSP’s classrooms are designed for children to explore and learn independence. Lesson plans include math and science. Chanille says she knows “how challenging it is to ensure children are learning, achieving their very best, and staying engaged throughout the school year.” She continues, “That’s why our programs (from preschool, VPK to aftercare programs) are designed to inspire children with fun and engaging learning activities all year round.”
